9 year old fussy eater

Help, I need ideas how to encourage my son to eat healthy food, his daily diet consists of:
Breakfast: 2 x iced cakes & an innocent fruit smoothie
Lunch: 1 x mini croissant, 5 x v.thin slices ham, 1 x tube yoghurt, 1/2 apple skin off & diced, pkt crisps & fruit squash drink
Tea: 2 x sausages, chips & 1/2 small tin alphabetti spaghetti plus jelly & fruit

When he comes home from school he has still got the croissant, apple & crisps in his lunch box.

The only different things he'll eat are cheese & tomato pizza or chicken nuggets instead of the sausages for tea.

When son was a newborn until the age of 1 year he had laryngomalacia (flappy larynx) and he was very difficult to wean onto lumpy food, had to puree everything, plus has always been a very very slow eater.

But now he is just not interested in eating says its boring & takes up too much time, would rather be playing football

Both my husband & I have very good appetites & eat a balanced diet.

Any tips or advice would be much appreciated, thanks

Can you get him involved in making / cooking the food with you? It might make him see eating as more pleasurable?
