Alternate to wine in a recipe - ideas?

Hi, I'm making gnocchi sausage recipe (p184!) from the Jamie's 15 minute meals for the children and I think I should probably replace the wine for something else. Any ideas as to what - stock? Thanks

If it is white wine, apple juice works well as a substitute.

I would just add the wine. The alcohol will cook off and you are just left with the flavour.
