How should I cook ham I always just whack it in the oven is there something more exciting I can do.

Do you boil it up first? I usually boil (20 mins per pound). Then peel off the outer skin and then score and glaze the fat and outside. Don't cook too hot or it dries out. Should get a nice browned outer with the flavour of your glaze and soft tasty ham inside.
