Just started to cook my joint of beef, put it in the oven in a rush and left the pad bit (the bit that soaks up the blood) on the bottom of it, cooked it for about half an hour, went to put the potaoes in and spotted it (as it has swelled up), pealed it off, removed any juices and rinced out the baking tray. Have now put it back in the oven. Will it be ok?
The pad bit had those bead things in it that swell up when they get wet.
Anyone?
I dont want to have to chuck it away as it cost aq fortune (our new years day treat).
