Help me! I can't make gravy!!

We are doing Christmas dinner tomorrow but my mum, who I always rely on to make the gravy, won't now be with us. I have always been useless at this - mine never tastes as good as hers - and I really don't like shop-bought stuff (nor do I want to have to go to a supermarket today!). I have Bisto granules, stock cubes, and will have the turkey juices - can anyone tell me a dead easy and foolproof method. Thanks so much - especially as I know you'll all be busy!!

Most important thing is a whisk.
Put about a tablespoon of flour in with the turkey juices and whisk, then put on lowish heat for a minute or so til the flour fizzes a bit, whisk all the time. Add a glass or 2 of white wine, still whisking, then water, then stock cube. Keep stirring with whisk to stop lumps forming as it thickens.
A bit vague as don't know how many you're cooking for.
Hope your mum is OK Xmas Smile

I made this yesterday, basically roast up chicken wings (or turkey bones/wings I guess), then simmer on hob. Tastes fab.

Thanks for your suggestions - much appreciated. Also your references to my mum. She is halfway through a course of chemotherapy treatment for leukaemia; her immunity is at rock bottom right now and because I have a cold her doctors have advised her to stay away. It is terribly sad for all of us as the only thing we were all wishing for this Christmas was to be able to spend it together. Sad But as we mums all know, the show must go on....! Hope you all have a very happy Christmas and thanks again for your help Xmas Smile
