Well, that'll learn me to leave the Sunday roast until Sumday, then. I thought so, but it's always worth checking.

SMiL said to wash it out under the tap, chuck the original packaging away and re-wrap it in foil. I can't see how that would kill campylobacter or e coli, rather than get old chicken germs all over the kitchen and fridge. Confused

Now, about that lamb I've got that is 4 days out of date...

It was delicious. Blush Marinaded for 3 hours, cooked for 2. I make a bloody fantastic lamb curry.

The chicken is going in the bin, tho'.

I've been told that washing chicken is the easiest way to get food poisoning, you should never wash them, out of date or not! Good luck with the baby

SMiL has interesting views on hygiene. She told my nephew to drink out of the river running through town the other week when he was thirsty and offered to wipe DS's hands and face after lunch with moist loo roll which sits next to the loo, yesterday .

She is never ill.

Thanks, ceebs! Are you a Nov 08 lady or do you just have a really similar name?

She would be Ceebee but I don't know if she's still on. Nice to meet you, anyway!
