omg I am the world's worst mother!

OMG have just made dd's weetabix with WEEK OLD milk and she got half way through it before telling me that the milk tasted funny!

What shall I do? Will she be sick?

Feel bad enough as she was not feeling great to start with!

She'll be fine. It won't taste good, but she won't be terribly food poisoned or anything.

I gave ds mouldy toast once, and ignored him when he was moaning about it, because I thought it was just normal toddler moaning.

Then I bit into mine....

I felt so guilty, but it's not like we do these things on purpose!

omg and to top it off farley's rusks ( ds's staple diet practically) have been recalled!! I have poisoned both kids in one day!

See this is what you get when you don't make organic home made food.

mmm at least if dd (6) was stil breastfeeding I wouldn't have had this problem.

I wouldn't worry about the milk, it shouldn't do her any harm.

I sent dd to school with her lunch a few months ago. She opened up her sarnies and told her dinner lady that there were green bits on her bread. MOULD! Dinner lady told her not to eat them and throw them away. {blush]

lol, my mum did that. More than once! She used to work nights, and wasn't always on the ball 1st thing in the morning.

gave darling DS redy-brek for breakfast this morning - thought that some brown bits were bits of oats - turns out they were weavels..... am convinced he is psychologically scarred for life and will have issues with food forever more - not that he noticed anything, of course.

I once gave ds Ready Brek and thought the bit about boiling the milk wasn't serious so just warmed it up a bit before adding to Ready Brek. Poor thing ended up doing lots of little poos all day.

hi meanoldmummy - you know they are weavels because they wriggle and crawl and burrow deeper in to the porridge/flour or whatever - look like tiny grains of dark brown rice, say aobut 3 or 4 mm long - little buggers!

maybe these were super- weavels or something or maybe they just grow big in Hampshire! - seriously, you are probably right, they are a mite smaller than that ...
