I love cold goose, but I am not at all keen on it hot - I think it does have that rather greasy, oily taste when it is hot, that it loses when it is cold.

We had organic turkey amd a huge rib of beef. Twas all very yummy And lots of lovely left overs, although Dsises went home with food parcels which helped clear out some of the remains

goose delicious i think but not really worth effort. would work much better in a (self cleaning....god i miss my) aga than conventional oven...

this busy woman has been lying in until half 9 every day, then having two naps a day, has barely moved for 3 days except to haul herself to the chocolate box, and consequently is WIDE awake at almost midnight.

I can't believe I have another 4 or 5 weeks of being pregnant, I can't STAND IT ANY MORE GRRRRRRRRRRR

sorry just needed to get that off my chest

are they nice? aquarius I mean? I don't know any aquariuses and have no friends who are aquariuses, they are an Unknown Quantity. And probably hate Taureans (moi)

I had a veritable spider's web of varicose veins removed this week. (Glamorous? Moi? Mai oui!!)

The 24 hours of utter peace in a hospital bed were pretty nice though.

Really thick question alert What happens once the veins have been removed, how does the blood go, where the blood used to go before????

eueugughghghghghghghrhrhrhrhrhgrhrggh

sorry I meant to say "really? oh well, better out than in, get well soon"

That's what I thought (especially as this is the second time around!)
Consultant told me those veins carry hardly anything.

BTW sorry to hear about the leg, it was the goose I was LOL at.

merrySOAPBOXingday · 26/12/2005 23:51

How do they get so big then????

Report
moondog · 26/12/2005 23:51

Big cut in groin and loads of little ones all down my leg.
If that doesn't put people off their turkey crown, then frankly what will????

Maybe that's the appeal of the turkey crown, you don't know whether it had varicose veins or not?

Report
merrySOAPBOXingday · 26/12/2005 23:54

Sounds grim!!!

Forgive me, but the image of you entertaining, with what will undoubtably be lovely exquisite food, in your jammies, is a very funny image

lol re thought of turkey with Stilton legs.

Pah,plenty of Champagne in the fridge-who cares about the clothes.
I may dazzle them with my favourite winceyette heart covered one-£4 from Ethel Austin.

I'm sure your jammies are exquisite too. I've just watched Working Girl again - will you be wearing the sort of stuff that sigourney weaver lolled around on her bed in while making eyes at Harrison Ford? She was recovering from a broken leg not a varicose vein operation, but the same principle I think...
