winter salad???

is something that dh had as a child and hankers for with his leftover turkey and ham and jacket potatoes.....anyone have a good recipie??? tia

I would imagine it is cabbage,onion and carrot,grated very finley and mixed with mayo (and maybe caraway seeds.)

I do red and white cabbage, carrot and apple mixed with half mayo half greek yoghurt and the juice of half a lemon. Very delicious. In fact I had it with ham and jacket potatoes just the other day and will probably make more for boxing day.

cabbage, finely chopped
celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3 apples, chopped
chopped nuts
olive oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
dash of orange juice
some sesame seeds
salt pepper

...have like this or if you want to make it rich add a mayo/greek yog mix to the ingredients too.
