Dd starts nursery next week and will need a packed lunch 4 days a week. They have a microwave. Usually I'' do things like sandwiches, baked potato, boiled egg, fruit etc.

Any other ideas??

Chunky strips of cold omelette - you can put all kinds of veggies, ham, cheese, etc into them and makes a change from sandwiches.

if they have a microwave, how about lasagne or bolognese? macaroni cheese? cold snacks I would possibly give small hot dog sausage chunks, cucumber, cheese cubes/strips, and those dairy lea things with ham, cheese and little biscuits go down well here.

or tortilla works well (same number of potatoes as eggs to make it chunky, onion, maybe even peas)

falafels? hummus and dips. yoghurt. mini-quiches. Baby bel cheeses, bits of cucumber and tomato.

if they have a microwave, does it have to be packed lunch?
my ds takes in a home made chicken curry and naan bread and they heat it up no problemit's just the nappy the nursery nurses don't like

I do pasta or homemade soup and a sandwich. I will also send in leftovers from night before if appropriate - ie mince and potatoes, stew etc.
