I am having Waitrose chicken wrapped in parma ham and stuffed with asparagus. It was reduced from £5.49 down to 99p for 2 breasts! Bargain! With celeriac chips and sauteed spinach.

Boys are having fishfingers and beans because DS1 is poorly and that is what he fancies.

Sausage pasta.

Really dont want it though. Want something nicer.

DewDr0p Mon 28-Jan-13 16:46:06

Me and the children are having chilli with rice, topped with grated cheese. Maybe salad on the side.

Dh is away with work so undoubtedly having something much more glam. envy

TheSecretCervixDNCOP Mon 28-Jan-13 16:46:27

I'm making a cottage pie. Cheating a little by using a jar of sauce to put in the mince, but still fresh mince and cooked potatoes!

Big fat ribeyes for me and DP. With skinny fries. And diane sauce. Mmmmmmm.

DD is having prawns in batter with corn on the cob and potato croquettes (random combination but what she requested in M+S!)

MamaGeekChic Mon 28-Jan-13 16:47:16

Spaghetti, Meatballs and tomato sauce, rocket salad and tomato flatbread. Can't wait!

NorbertDentressangle Mon 28-Jan-13 16:52:06

Leftovers from the freezer as its DS's football training night so needs to be quick and easy - butternut squash and potato curry, chick pea curry and naan bread

FreakoidOrganisoid Mon 28-Jan-13 16:54:31

Jollof rice. Or a bastardised version of.

Ruprekt Mon 28-Jan-13 16:55:13

Jollof rice???? Wassat?

MelodyBaker Mon 28-Jan-13 16:58:49

Chicken pie (homemade pastry) with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

TomDaleysTrunks Mon 28-Jan-13 17:01:08

Dh is working so he's taken a freezer dinner of beef casserole. Dd ate at crèche so she's just going to have toast. I'm going to have some sort of tomato and veg pasta once she's asleep! Maybe chuck some seafood in. Not very glam!

serendippity Mon 28-Jan-13 17:07:38

Kids are having Tesco "goodie" chicken goujons with potato waffles and baked beans and dh and I are having meatballs and spaghetti with a whole mountain of cheese on top mmmm.
P.S normaly the kids do have at least part homemade food, but We're having a fridge plumbed in and a raditator moved so currently everything's covered in dust and I have enough to contend with grin

TiggerWearsATriteSmile Mon 28-Jan-13 17:11:40

Beef and Guinness stew. It smells gorgeous.
We'll have it with colcannon. Hearty warming food on a drab day.

forevergreek Mon 28-Jan-13 17:58:16

Sweet and sour chicken ( homemade first time so could be a disaster still!), with rice and broccoli

Quorn chilli con carne and rice. Lovely an warming as needed due to the vast amounts of water falling from the sky! smile

OldBeanbagz Mon 28-Jan-13 18:02:55

Meat Free Monday in our house so it's mixed bean chilli with spicy wedges.

CremeEggThief Mon 28-Jan-13 18:03:11

Jacket potatoes with baked beans and cheese. One of my favourites smile.

ScienceRocks Mon 28-Jan-13 18:14:18

We are having chicken with fennel in a slightly spiced creamy sauce with brown rice. I love this nigel slater recipe and it is perfect in this horrible weather.

Fish pie, then the last slice of chocolate fudge cake in the world.

TheArmadillo Mon 28-Jan-13 18:55:24

Cajun chicken (hairy dieters recipe for the spice mix), garlic bread and salad (rocket and parmesan for me).

Have to walk past the chippy on the way home just as it is opening - is hard when I'm always starving.

insanityscratching Mon 28-Jan-13 19:21:28

We've had leftover ham from the joint I cooked at the weekend, chips, egg and peas. Had a bad day and that was as much as I could be bothered to do.

aubergine pamegiana(sp) from hfws veg! it will be delicious with a green salad.smile

Veggie chilli, baked sweet potatoes, soured cream and a parsley/red onion salsa thing. It was gorgeous but now I want cake.

Bilbobagginstummy Mon 28-Jan-13 19:27:19

Had rocket & pate salad when I came in.
Waiting for teriyaki slightly smoked salmon & rice to be ready then will serve with pak choi.

Unusually posh tonight. (went to Waitrose at weekend!)

Harrysmummysarah1 Mon 28-Jan-13 19:28:37

Dds 7 and 4 had chicken fajitas.
Chicken, peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheese in wraps.
They added salsa sauce and gucalome and sour cream and chive.
They love it as I lay it all out on table and they make them them selves supervised of course!
I defrosted left over lasagna for dh and my self as only enough for two adults . Having it with garlic Bread.

Prawns, pak choi and mushrooms with rice noodles, lots of chilli and ginger.

PirateShit Mon 28-Jan-13 19:33:34

Ds and dd had pasta with tuna, sweetcorn, broccoli, pesto and cheese. Random.

Me and dh are having lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce, with Harissa in it. It's a recipe from the Leon book, we love it and have it a lot. Having a bit of spaghetti and a rocket salad with it.

JiltedJohnsJulie Tue 29-Jan-13 14:31:04

Samu2 Tue 29-Jan-13 14:31:59

Roast chicken and all the usual "Sunday lunch" trimmings.

Ruprekt Tue 29-Jan-13 16:20:55

Tonight we are having meatballs.

Boys with pasta and tomato sauce and me with cream sauce and veg as I am low carbing.

CremeEggThief Tue 29-Jan-13 17:21:14

Quorn nuggets, frozen wedges and baked beans here, if I CBA to stick the oven on! smile

Chopstheduck Tue 29-Jan-13 17:28:15

prawn and veg stir fry with noodles. Don't want that tho, I want a fish and chip supper, and I have to drop ds1 to boys brigade, which is right near the chippy. I will be able to SMELL it!

nilbyname Tue 29-Jan-13 17:31:07

Beef stew with puff pastry stars for me and the kids, was completely delicious.

DH is coming home to dal and nan. home made.

I've made a fish pie that we'll have with peas and sweetcorn.

redmayneslips Tue 29-Jan-13 19:40:22

Harrysmummy, that does sound odd, cannot imagine that in a sandwich!

Tonight we are having the remainder of the meatballs in fresh cherry tomato and white wine sauce with spaghetti and loads of paremsan, it is a delicious recipe - we love it and I can't wait for dh to get home so we can have ours. Dd has already eaten her portion.

Harrysmummysarah1 Tue 29-Jan-13 19:57:23

Is a fav by dds here.
I lay it all out on a table and they do it with my assistance of course. They add cheese and extra veggies eg tomatoes and what ever sauce they want.
A bit like yesterday we had chicken fagitas or wraps all laid out on table and they made them.
Tommorow will be ham, eggs, mash and and cheesy cauli and broccoli or pickles for dh.

MumOfMissy Tue 29-Jan-13 20:01:49

Nigella's Coq au Riesling.

CakeForBreakfast Tue 29-Jan-13 21:25:45

We had parmesan chicken goujons (homemade - yay me), with oven fries (not yay me) and a pile of vegetables. Flapjacks for pudding (homemade, overall pat on head for me).

Tomorrow will probably be rice and dhal

Ruprekt Wed 30-Jan-13 18:42:56

Lamb burgers tonight with broccoli and yorkshire puddings.

Random but lovely.

I am having lamb burgers with avocado, roasted celeriac, broccoli with anchovy.

OhMyNoReally Wed 30-Jan-13 18:49:28

Roast duck with sweet potato and orange mash, cabbage, brussel sprouts, pearl barley, mushroom and fresh corn cornbread, mash potatoes and gravy. Tonight is family night, mums over. Lovely night might have some wine too and the dc can have posh juice. smile

CremeEggThief Wed 30-Jan-13 20:09:50

Wholemeal pasta (that I didn't cook for long enough!) with pesto from a jar, a squeeze of lime and black pepper and some grated cheese. Even that was almost too much hard work, as I have been in bed all day, struggling with the flu sad.

FlouncingMintyy Wed 30-Jan-13 20:20:11

Dh is making us chicken stir-fry with black bean sauce, stir-fry vegetables and noodles that came on some sort of "meal deal" from Sainsburys. I have stuck a spanner in the works by insisting on rice instead of noodles grin. I LOVE rice, me, not a fan of the noodle.

chickencurryfor7 Wed 30-Jan-13 20:36:04

Pasta with a tablespoon of Pataks madras curry paste and a tablespoon of low fat cream cheese stirred in. Eaten straight from the hot pan with a big spoon grin.

marriedinwhite Wed 30-Jan-13 20:40:47

sausages, mash, broc and onion gravy. The DC had the choice between salmon en-croute, reduced parmentier pots, peas and parsley sauce.

HyvaPaiva Wed 30-Jan-13 20:44:37

Nigella's Italian traybake. So delicious and simple: cut up unpeeled potatoes, scatter in a casserole dish. Place raw sausages and raw chicken thighs (on the bone) on top. Add lots of fresh, chopped rosemary and a couple of large rosemary sprigs. Add the zest of a lemon. Massive glug of olive oil. Season. Gas mark 7 for one hour. No work and full flavour makes it very popular in our house grin

Casmama Wed 30-Jan-13 20:47:25

Cajun chicken and chorizo pasta- was lovely.

YouCanCallMeBetty Wed 30-Jan-13 21:06:39

DH made bangers and mash. Waitrose half-fat sausages are surprisingly good.
