Recipe of the week

smithy's roasted beetroot: low-fat, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free and generally nutritious and virtuous. This one-dish wonder is delicious and uses up some seasonal beets. What's not to like?

I need my Mum's 70s cook book for freezer food!

Wanted - ideas for a dinner party I can do in advance and freeze or just slap together - like rocket, pear & stilton or sumfink.

Thanks ladies

any sort of stew - eg Nigella's beef with anchovy and thyme - do a few days before and let it all meld together in the fridge

ditto most curries

pudding frozen berries with hot white choc sauce. sling together in 10 mins, very indulgent and easy peasy

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page."
