need to make some biscuits but the only eggs we have are two days past best before - still ok to use?

Put them in a bowl of water- if they float they're off but if they sink it's OK to eat them.
They should be OK

Or break them and sniff.

Blimey! I eat eggs weeks after the date! they'll be fine!!!

(sink includes stand on their end: the floating thing really is floating: they'll bob around in the water without touching the bottom if they're bad)

Maybe it's a screw thing then eating very old eggs! lol, as long as they don't make me retch, they get used. Not much is wasted in the Solo household.

Same here jasper. I have an Admiral American fridge too which seems to keep food for much much longer than orinary fridges.

I do jasper! I've had mine for 15 years and it's been brilliant with the exception of it stalling when I first had it and I lost all my frozens, but <touches wood> no problem since!
