Hi, I've bought loads of cake stuff online but would love to have a proper browse somewhere. I'm going to London Xmas shopping next month so any ideas would be fab. Ta!

You could go to Jane Asher's cake shop here, I've never been so not sure how much stock they have. I go to a shop called Party Party in Dalston which has loads of stuff but in a very un-glamourous area so it might not fit in with the rest of your shopping trip.
Where is Dalston? I'm in Glasgow with two small children so despite us having a flat in Paddington I never go down and have no idea where anywhere is!
I'm having a break from the kids so can, in theory, go anywhere.

Well, I use a shop in Putney and sometimes one in Richmond, but there must be somewhere closer to Paddington than that...
The richmond one is brilliant

Yes, if only I could remember what it's called. Or even the name of the road it's on...
I've got a friend near Richmond so that one would be fab...fingers crossed the name comes back to you!

In Burnt Oak, North London there is a cake decorating shop that I go to even though I live on the opposite side of London. Does specialist tins, icings, sugarcraft tools and paints etc. Not a particularly nice part of London though and no other shopping around.

Is it Kooks or something like that, CD?

Yes, I think it is -- here on Eton Street.
Fab. It looks interesting! Is Richmond worth a dedicated shopping trip?
I do tend to go to Richmond for Christmas shopping, but that may be because I hate the crowds in Central London
. Richmond has lots of chains but also some interesting independent shops. And some nice restaurants and cafes.
Excellent. Sounds like a good option.
