Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

£1.85 for a scoop of bailey's & sweetcream in Oxford yesterday....it was lovely, planning on working my way through the ice-cream menu.
I had a Ben & Jerry's sundae thing, cup larger than the big tub you get in supermarkets - with a scoop of whatever icecream, crushed waffle cone pieces, hot choc fudge sauce, another scoop of whatever ice cream, whipped cream and little B&J chocolate cow pieces.

That was almost £5 but it lasted me all the way through Mamma Mia grin although when I left cinema half of it had dribbled down me as I couldn't see where i was putting it hmm
about £3. large, waffle cone, yumola.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
