Half a tin of tuna, with sweetcorn, cucumber and watercress.

I was stuffed.

Because lunch had been: foie gras, smoked salmon, chapon with rostis, chestnuts and mushrooms, cheese board, and chocolate ice cream. (a belated Christmas lunch at extended family's).

After a week of eating similar menus twice daily at DP's parents over the Christmas period, over the next week I just want to eat dinners consisting of either:

- trashy kiddy stuff (hot dogs, chicken nuggets, baked beans on toast)
- light fresh stuff (salads and veg soups)

...I can't face another cheese board, terrine or large hunk of meat for at least a month.

Coopland sausage rolls, packet of skips and a bottle of dr pepper

We had sausages, mash and veggies today.

Tomorrow is gnocchi in tomato sauce

Tuesday is roast beef, roast potatoes and veggies and gravy

Wednesday I am back to work and DH will be cooking, he will have a choice of salmon or chicken to cook

Thursday is will be whatever is left over from the day before - if it's chicken I'm going to do a chicken curry and rice, if it's salmon I may make fish fingers with it, using matzo meal as a quick coating.

Friday - shop will be delivered ready for the weekend , not ordered yet!

Homemade pizza and oven chips smile

We're not eating until late today, as dd1 is at work. We're having a root vegetable and chestnut pie (but I am cheating and using bought pastry). Will have it with green vege on the side.

Tomorrow we're having a vegetable bake, inspired by something I saw on here just before Christmas. I've fried up a load of vege and mixed it with the rest of the chestnuts plus some stuffing and topped it with cheese. We'll have it with roast potatoes and more vege on the side.

Tuesday - veggie curry and rice, with paneer

Weds - pasta Arabiatta

Thurs - maybe veggie lasagne, or maybe veggie chilli

Beyond that, no idea.
