I like the luxury one form M&S - nice and tangy.

My mum always added a good slug of sherry or brandy to Robertsons - made all the difference smile

Similar to 4merly, I buy Robertson's and then add to it - chopped nuts, cranberries, almonds, orange juice or splash of alcohol, just whatever I have to hand really to liven it up a bit.

I have used Robertson's in the past, and add chopped dried cranberries to it. Cranberries are quite bitter and I find that it cuts through the slightly sickly sweetness that most shop-bought mincemeats have. Also, by adding dried ingredients it prevents the pies being too moist.

I've used a cranberry one from Waitrose before which I like.

Can anyone recommend a good brand please? I won't have the time to make any this year.

TIA
