Would you eat two day out of date fish cakes? I have a pack of two tuna and coriander fishcakes from sainsbury's. Use by is 6 Feb. They've been on fridge the whole time and look and smell fine. I've had them before and it's mainly made up of potatoes anyway. Would you eat them? They're for me not for the baby. 

I reckon they'll probs be ok for you to et, but then I'm a bit devil may care with stuff like that.

No. Not fish. Cheese and vegetables I'm OK with, but fish and meat - no way.

My reasons being 'mixed up' stuff like that has had lots of exposure to air - the component parts are all little bits, rather than a solid chunk with an outside and an inside. It's the same reason why burgers are more of a risk than a steak - more surface area exposed to bacteria and all mixed into the middle.
Also I don't think potato keeps that well.
And fish deteriorates fast - faster than meat.

I had sausages instead...
