What's the difference between a sirloin and rib-eye steak?

Ribeye's tastier and juicier. Sirloin has the edge very very slightly on tenderness.

They're cut from different parts of the cow. Rib-eye (surprisingly) is from the ribs area, and I believe sirloin is from the lower back area.

Pogue has it spot on with varying tastes.

I love steak, enjoy grin

Isn't the sirloin just above the tenderloin and is just by the back of the cow... the rib eye is from the middle isn't it more fattty but for me its more tasty...

thanks all for posting. i think i'll go for the rib-eye! yup, a christmas night out. a rarity (pardon the pun ) with our 3 year old and 8 month old, quite excited!
