My goldfish was lying on his side at the bottom of the tank yesterday and today he is at the top on his side still 'breathing' but not moving.

Water quality all within normal ranges. Don't overfeed but haven't fed today in case its constipation. About 6 months ago he had a lump removed and biopsy showed cancer but vet not concerned. So worried he's dying. He's about 22 and we rescued him 12 years ago. His friend will be so sad if he dies. Can't get a vet appt until tomorrow

Any advice appreciated

this is also happening to my fish. oh dear. he is on his side and seems to have a lump. we have just got back from holiday and the filter was not working when we returned. working now. we had holiday fish food in too.

does this mean he's going to die?

Any advice appreciated.

on a separate note can you seriously have a biopsy on a goldfish?
