So I buy 6 cherry shrimps last week, but they are either very good at hiding or have been eaten! I have only seen one since the weekend.

What are the chances they have been eaten or where would they be hiding?

We have guppies platies assasins & a single tetra in our tank

The platys might have gone for them but I would have thought it more likely that they've snuffed it and then been eaten if you can't see them anywhere. What's the nitrAte level like? Shrimp can be a bit sensitive, more so than some species of fish.

All seems ok - if they had been eaten I would have expected to see their shells floating around, I can't imagine even assasins would eat the shells!

We have a lot of plantlife in our tank at the moment too which doesn't help the vision - I really hope they're still there!

Are they still quite young? I got cherry shrimp and I bought them when they were juvenile. I was lucky if I spotted one (of 20!). Now they are grown up they roam about everywhere, the bogwood, the plants, the sand. And they had babies themselves and they are left alone by the platies and guppies so I think they are just still scared and hiding.

Spotted 3 yesterday when doing a water change :D
I think you're right that they hide a lot as even when I spotted them they were in deep undergrowth!
Feeling much happier now thanks all!
