Just watched the Good Dinosaur all the way through for the first time and I am reduced to tears.

Why do the make them so emotional.
Monsters inc
Up
Toy story
The Croods
Inside out
Any bloody kids film reduces me to a puddle of snot and tears.

Brilliant films though Grin

Seriously, I lost it five separate times during the Good Dinosaur. Even the kids were Confused

I took the kids to the cinema shortly after my brother died, just to get 90 mins of peace. We went to see Big Hero 6...which is about a boy whose big brother died. I blubbed through it.

I cry at all of them. Even the opening sequence of The Lion King sets me off.

Oh yeah Big Hero 6. That slayed me at the end when he he fires his fist to save him leaving him stuck in the worm hole or what ever it was.

Watched it again the next week and cried again.

I'm useless Grin

Pixar are the worst, the absolute worst for it.

They should be renamed Bastard Films.

Tangled. Rapunzel reunited with her parents who looked so sad and old having lost her for so long.

oh yes I always cry at Up it actually destroys me as I have a very big hang up about getting old and being left alone.

Big hero 6 big snotty mess when I left cinema

Circle of Life intro to the lion king also gets me

angela Lansbury singing beauty and the beast sets me off even 4 year old ds says to me now don't get sad mummy when it comes on.

Good dinosaur didn't bother me funnily enough or Inside out didn't like either of those

Up does it for me every time too, we had fertility issues as well so that just adds to it. I refuse to watch toy story 3 after embarrassing myself in the cinema.

Luckily I have teens now so don't really watch kids films so much but that also explains why I can't watch toy story 3......bastards!

Shortly after I had DD, I watched Brave... I'd seen it before, didn't make me cry that much. But watching it after DD I was a mess!

Wreck-it-Ralph is one of my favourite films and no matter how many times I see it, I bawl at the end. And the end of Tangled, again much more so after DD.

Can't blame her for everything though, I also sobbed at the end of Cars years before she was born. Fucking Cars!

YY to Pixar. I love their films but god they rip your heart out.
The very end of Monsters Inc still reduces me to tears. I've been watching it for years now!
Up
Toy Story (especially 3)
Wall-e
Inside Out (started weeping 10 mins in and couldn't stop, in fact it started with Lava the short film beforehand)

Not watched The Good Dinosaur yet but DS 1&2 watched it last week and loved it but both cried at the sad bits!

Oh the good dinosaur was a sob fest.

Yy to dumbo baby mine. I can get weepy just thinking of it.

Tangled guts me now I've had kids.

DD went through a serious Toy Story obsession when she was little. It was torture. Every time Jessie sings, every time Blush DD used to just give me pitying looks in the end.

DS watched nothing but Wall-E for months, I shed quite a few tears over that one too.

Has anyone seen homeward bound? It's about two dogs and a cat who have to find their way home. It's quite old. I cry my eyes out at the ending every single time. It's so daft but seeing them all reunited absolutely gets me.

Eight Below is so so sad.
Lion King makes me cry as well.

PersisFord · 17/02/2016 14:22

Why are they all so sad?! DH put land before time on for the kids the other morning....fortunately I came in just in time to distract them from HIS MUM BEING KILLED BY A T-REX!!!! I mean, that really is the stuff of nightmares, isn't it?!? Why couldn't she have just got separated from them and they could have found her in the valley? My kids watch a LOT of tv and I would love it to be a nice Disney film or something (rather than bloody peppa) but they are all just too sad!!!

My DS1 got most upset about an old black and white film about steam engines- one of them was broken and he wept like there was no tomorrow :( Was never phased by anything else - that should probably have been the biggest red flag to him being borderline aspergers...

oh lawks...Eight Below....for some unbeknown reason dh bought that for me years ago...I sobbed so hard at the dvd cover I have been forbidden to watch it.

Elf sets me off....when they are all singing at the end..

And yes to Pixar movies....maybe it's the mild peril? I never even sniffed at Harry Potter, orphan baby? evil to triumph? Dead twin...nope, nada, what-fucking-ever ....but a sad abandoned cowgirl dolly and I am sobbing. Toys holding hands in a furnace...Wahhhhhhhhhhhh!!
