For reasons I'm not going into its the best film ever better than sleeping with the enemy.
art reliving real life. it makes me breakdown every time I watch it but it's so close to real life.

Huh? confused

ladybird69 Fri 29-Jan-16 23:43:21

have you ever watched it potter?

Hayels Fri 29-Jan-16 23:44:38

Watching it now- brilliant film!

PotterBot Fri 29-Jan-16 23:46:13

Yes I've watched it loads of times. I love it but don't see how it's close to real life. And i say that as someone who has violent thoughts against their ex husband.

Hayes yes brill film crying my eyes out now.
Potter (luckily) obviously ur ex wasn't at all like my ex therefore you wouldn't understand.

The bit in the coffin freaks me out

ladybird69 Wed 03-Feb-16 23:37:34

oh my god yeahMad id literally die in the coffin.
I just think it's so clever and it shows how she outplayed a narcissistic psychopath and won in the end 😄

Vaginaaa Wed 03-Feb-16 23:52:48

Oooh I love double jeopardy! The first time I saw it, it made me feel sick the level of manipulation he puts her through. Sleeping with the enemy is the one that really scares me though. That one was hard to watch.

Hayels Thu 04-Feb-16 16:04:16

What's the film, I think with Jennifer Lopez, sketchy on the details but similar to this. I think he's abusive and frames her then she beefs up and goes after him?

Mirror21 Thu 04-Feb-16 18:02:57

Hayels its called Enough, brilliant

Hayels Fri 05-Feb-16 00:15:12

Going to have to go and find it now!!

ladybird69 Sat 06-Feb-16 09:02:44

Ooo that sounds good I'll look it up too 😄

Lightbulbon Sat 06-Feb-16 09:06:53

I love the (now very dated) bit in the library where she puts off her admirer by saying she was convicted of murdering her husband

ladybird69 Sat 06-Feb-16 22:38:26

yeah the look on his face from cocky to shit scared in two sentences. and then her dead husbands face at the auction when he recognises her. brilliant.

DataColour Sat 06-Feb-16 22:40:23

I've seen it 3 times! Love it!!

bakeoffcake Sat 06-Feb-16 22:42:42

Oh I love this film. So, so good.

I think it was based in a true story?

DoesAnyoneReadTheseThings Sat 06-Feb-16 22:44:00

Such a good film!

bakeoffcake Sat 06-Feb-16 22:46:06

Ignore me, I've just googled, it wasn't based on a true story.

SmallGreenBouncyBall Sat 06-Feb-16 22:46:12

I love that film.
that and 'the net' are my insomnia fixes.

love the fashion as well and whish I could wear trousers like that!

ladybird69 Sat 06-Feb-16 22:59:05

yeah Ashley Judd is just so stylish without trying (sigh) her husband makes me sick. bake it could be based on a true story sadly.
psst don't tell anyone else but my insomnia film is burlesque!!!!

Good film. But the coffin scene is horrible. Can you imagine if she didn't have that gun sad

ImperialBlether Sat 04-Jun-16 21:28:58
