That's it really.
Mn is my coping mechanism.
DH and I are miserable. Long story but basically we HAVE to sell this house. We can't stay in it. But nothing is shifting. We have it at rock bottom price too.

Every day it gets harder.
I don't sleep, neither does poor DH.
We are both physically ill with the strain and every day something else goes wrong. LAst night our brand new boiler broke down. On it's own, it is nothing but we are already at the end of our tethers.

Can anyone chat? I have half an hour or so before ds comes home.

I'm so sorry to hear this nicky

I assume renting it out isn't a possibility? What about renting out one or more of the rooms to students?

It's not money.
The mortgage is easy to pay.
It is the house/neighbours/history/etc.

No, we can't rent out - very rural here and no rental market for this kind of house.

Have you tried auctioning your property?

Not yet alfie.
We are looking in to selling for a big discount for cash from one of those cut price buy to let places. AM aware it may well be dodgy though so nothing is being signed until it has been to the solicitor first.

A lot of people at auctions are cash buyers and when the property sells at auction it is legally binding. They have to pay 10 per cent up front. I would go round and ask a few agents because you may get more and it will all be genuine.

Could you afford to get away for a while? Even somewhere nearby so you can still work/school run etc to get some head space???

Am sorry you feel like this. Have you both been to your GP?
xx

Thanks.

I have been to GP. I am on ADs long term anyway and am reluctant to increase the dose as I feel it will make no difference becasue it is a specific problem iyswim?

DH will not go to docs under any circumstances!

I have been racking my brains to think where we could go. My Mum's house is too small and she smokes so we can't go there. The ILs is a possibility but they haven't taken any of my hints and tbh I htink dh would resist. I may have to be explicit. It is in another town, but not far away.

I will have a look at auction houses in my area.

How about doing a part-exchange thing on a brand new development?

Evening all.
Yep. looked into exchange - nothing within 30 miles of here. The nearest part exchange place is in a town I wouldn't want to live in!
GOod suggestion though. Thanks.
