I think I might have taken my Ads twice this morning

I know the pharmarcist said if I wans't sure if I had taken one in the morning to miss but it wasn't until after I had taken one that I thought I think I have done this already today.

DH thinks I might be doubly happy but seriously is there a problem?

I have a really tough day ahead of me and won't know what is the day and what is the tablets.

In my experience I dont think it will do anything to you if you take double your dose only for one day

ad's have quite a long half life so take a while to get out of your system but also take quite a while to get into your system

for instance if you weren't being helped by one a day and your doc prescribed that you start taking two a day, I think it would take a week or two for the increased dosage to make any effect

disclaimer: I have no professional medical knowledge but I have been on varyin doses of ad's over the best part of the last 8 yearts
during two pregnancies and breasfeeding of two children

I have changed type, reduced, increased and accidently gone cold turkey from them too

I think you wont even notice

also think of getting yourself trays with the days on for your medication.

which ADs are they? I don't think it would hurt, unless you are on the maximum dose, which would be more than one tablet.

It might make you feel a bit more woozy/have increased side-effects but that's all I think.

chemists

citalopram 40mg.

I am seeing the GP this morning but don't want to ask him as he seems to have lost all understanding and patience with me (says I will be fine when DS2 goes to school as I can get a job) and just dismisses a lot of what I say.

call your GP and explain, they will advise. You won't be the first or the last person to have done this, and I am sure you will be fine.

80mg citalopram is an acceptable dose, and definitely not an overdose, when my friend increased her dose she was very sleepy and spaced out at first, but she had a strong reaction to citalopram anyway. You shouldn't feel bad about asking your GP at all, though!!!
