Do you feel different on weekdays than the weekend?

I am generally better whenever DH is around whatever the day, and don't feel as low at the weekends, even though it is more full on in some ways as the kids are here all the time, so I need to find a way to make things better for me on weekdays. They should be easier as I have a 2 hours to myself 4 of the mornings. They are busy days thought as it is school run for 2 DCs, playschool drop off for 1, pick up for one and then school again for the other two.

Hi Nabs. I'm the other way around! I get quite stressed at the weekends as it's a full house ie DH and 2 DC's and I get very little time or space to myself. I am usually desperate for Monday when DD goes back to school and DS is at nursery.

I spend loads of time with DC's during the week as am full time at home and DH also works at home a couple of days a week so manage to spend some time with him as well, whilst DC's are not around.

I feel guilty for feeling this way but it's how I feel. I think if i was working and didn't spend so much time with DC's during the week i would be happier spending the weekends with them.

I look forward to the weekends as DH is here and we only get an hour in the morning and about 4 in the evening together, but then the kids are all here all day and it is very full on.

Today should be okay as we have plans.

I also am the other way around work keeps me going in the week. I collapse without the structure and demand at the weekend.

twinset, me too, the lack of structure at the weekends is hard for me. Also I feel like my 'territory' is being invaded! ie our house!

I'm fine if we have plans to go out/are having friends over, but if the day just stretches out in front of me with everyone at home.......well, I find it hard to even get out of bed, I usually have a VERY long lie on at least one of the days at the weekend.

I understand that too as sometimes I look forward to Monday to get things back to normal. I have had a really good day today. Food shopped and then cooked and baked all day. Dh has started tiling and rearranging the ensuite for me and is now bathing the kids.

I feel relaxed at weekends and not in the week.

There is too much to fit into the day in the week and I spent all my time chivvying people along.
