Starting to reach the pure terror stage

My rational brain says I have to go in, tell him about depression and he will listen to me and give me meds.

Less rational part says he will think I am too calm, making it up and drug seeking.

What if he tries to tell me I am just tired and gives me sleeping pills????

I'm sure it will be fine but if it does turn out that he doesnt take you seriously, insist on seeing another GP.

He won't think you are too calm and making it up. You don't have to be sobbing to be depressed. And unless he is a twit he won't just hand out sleeping pills if it is ADs that you need.

ADs are, I think, prescribed more readily than sleeping pills because they don't lead to dependence in the way that sleeping pills can.

I really hope that it goes well for you. Remember that your doubts about being taken seriousl;y might be part of the low self-worth and low sense of entitlement that are themselves part of depression.

Well done Flame

Have you had them before ?

I had them a few years ago when I had PND. Made me feel a bit sick for about a week, but not too bad. Hope you don't suffer too much with side effects and that they help you.

I was on them about 6 years ago and 4-6 months gave me the ability to get back on my feet

I found that particular AD effective. Good luck. Stick out the minor side effects and after a couple of weeks you will be feeling better.
