You could try the Samaritans. Have never contacted them myself, but they came into my school once (a long....... time ago) and I remember being struck by how caring they were. Might be good if you want to hear a voice but not look at the person ifkwim

Why don't you namechange on here if you want to be anon from me if that helps, then talk about what is upsetting you so much? Sometimes just writing it all down can be incredibly cathartic and help you make sense of your feelings, even if there is no (obvious) solution. I've done it several times on here before.

(((hugs)))

I write everything in my blank a4 notebook. If I need dh to see something I can't talk about I give it to him to read.

It's a strategy that's really helped me get the frustration, anger and anxieties out of my head.

You could always email me I am happy to be a sounding board if you need one x

Yep I'd unload on here. Haven't done it yet but have been very tempted. Sometimes it's just the getting it all out that's hard. Have tried to explain to DH but he just doesn't "get" it.

Am currently doing the uni study on the media requests section about making yourself feel better through positive thinking. HOpefully it will help

Sorry puddles - turned into a self indulgent post.

What I really mean is, you are so not alone. This section confirms that! Write it all down and you'll get a virtual shoulder to cry on and hopefully feel a little better

Defintely come on here - no one else for me to talk to in RL and MN is great therapy for me.

I have namechanged on one occassion, it was really nice to see people who I have chatted to on here before give so much kind and thoughtful advice to someone despite them not knowing who they were helping.

I unload to rl friends afterwards but would be too embarrassed at the time ... although don't know why because I'd probably be flattered if it happened in reverse ...sometimes phone my sisters (and vice versa) but we are not always as receptive as we should be to one another...or I post or lurk on Mnsnet.

if it's really bad I write myself an e-mail. I don't know why but if I'm feeling really muddled and a problem is going around and around in my head, it helps to see the issues written out in b & w and somehow just the act of writing it down forces me to define/clarify the problem which in turn helps me to see a way forward ... well, not always, but usually and it does have definite carthartic effect !!

Hope you are OK x

Do you know I'd never have thought of that CTGH but that's such a good idea?

Writing it down helps and I guess hitting send draws a line under it but obv you don't want to actually send it anywhere. Genius.

Looks like you've taken the first step! Don't be afraid to take the next ones.
Maybe you're like me and you don't like admitting you've got a problem, you think people will think you're weak or inadequate? They won't, they'll actually feel better about you cos they'll see that you have probs just like them. It's taken me 38 years to realise this!!!!
Please find the courage to take the next step. I went to my doctor, she was really good. I also admitted to my best friend, it was really hard, but I'm so glad I did it.
You'll get lots of support from what I've seen on this forum. You'll maybe find someone who's going thru' what you've gone thru'.
Hope this helps.
