Anyone swapped AD's even when well established on one?

I've been taking Setraline for ages. I still get regular lows and believe my depression to be hormone related. The Dr doesn't seem interested in this. I've taken citilopram in the past and it worked well for me. I'm not breastfeeding anymore. (feel sad that I stopped in case the breastfeeding was making my hormones worse)
Anyway, I'm thinking about going back to citilopram but am very worried that it'll take 6 months to work like the Sertraline did. I'm hoping someone has some experience of this.

I have swapped several times (although not for a while) and if I remember rightly the new one didn't take long to work at all - certainly nothing like as long as going on ADs for the first time. Hope this is the case for you if you do decide to switch.

I'd second what levan said. I've also swapped several times and the effects have kicked in in a week or two. Definitely worth a try.

Thanks, thought no-one was going to answer. I'm just sick and tired of this yo-yoing. Dr has said that she didn't think it was a good idea last time I asked but am going to do it anyway I think.
