How do you go about finding a good child Psychologist?

My 7year old dd is seriously unhappy and has been for a good 6 months now. I "think" its to do with the school. Every week there's a new reason as to why school is not good and before Xmas I'd been in 7 times. We're thinking of moving schools but before I do that I need to know that this is really the reason and that its not something else. My dm has suggested I find a child psychologist and has offered to pay for her to go privately but I've no idea where to start looking for such people.

OK, thanks guys. I know I probably need to talk to my gp but I'm struggling. To have my child unhappy is leaving me feeling like a real failure. Suppose I need to get on with this and talk to my gp. thanks for the website

I can recommend a lady in London called Sue Cubitt, find her through www.healthychild.co.uk, she is a counselling psychologist for children.
