Hi
Am at wits end, dad is about to have ECT (electronic shock therapy for 2nd time) 1st time over 7yrs ago. It's my mum am really worried about - it must be so tough on her! 1st time I could support her lots as wasn't workimg & only had 1 dd 18mths. Now I have 3 dd's - 2,4 & 8 & work 20hr per wk. Mum doesn't drive so it outs the pressure on me to do food shopping etc. I can't cope with this - wot can I do?

it's hard to know what to say, ECT is hardcore, the last resort, it does work, certainly medium term for some people.

what is it you're most worried about for your mother, what happened last time that it is she not your dad that you are most concerned about?

my gran had to have ECT twice, it did have very good quick results for her. I know it has a pretty dismal image, but sometimes there is no other option. I guess that skinny's dad is an in-patient, so maybe skinny feels at least his immediate needs are being looked after right now?
