ok, ive had enough.
i just cant do this stuggingalong pretending its all fine and dandy...
but neither can i face the rejection and heartbreak of getting knocked back by gp's again.
so
i can afford it (well, dp can)... i just need to now how to get help privately.
id like to know how to find a good residential place where i cn go and get sorted...getstarted at least... somewhere they can figure out what i need and give it to me. is probably CBT and some ad's to start me off or maybe the ad's and cbt is all i need...but i dont know how to find it and im too lost/sad/pathetic/sick to find it for myself.
i'm wary ffinding somwehere which looks good but isnt... i want to get better, not be fkd around by charlatans or wellmeaning incompetents.

I dont know what your situaion is re ; what type of issues you have , but The Priory search facility for your area at the top offers many of the things you have mentioned.

Speaking from experience , with many problems it is a dynamic approach that's the best , so not one thing in particular. A mix of changes in diet , different types of therapy , exercise and loads more.

I wish you well

honey

I went to GP, asked for referral to BUPA registered psych. saw him 2 days later, was in hospital 36 hours after that where i stayed for 3 weeks.

if you want to talk more, you know how to get hold of me ok?

big brave step, and will be a good one to take

glad to lay some stepping stones down, intentions are a great start they get things moving. Changing and using intention is like moving a big ship , it eventually turns the way you want to go.

Ive been down the road you are going, waited 2 yrs for help via NHS,so did some private therapies and in the meantime I had to really work at sorting myself.

good luck with it all xxx

Tell us how your doing if you can ?

melsy, im deeply touched that you ask. thanks.
i have borne in mind what you said and, after doing the 5k raceforlife today, am intending to use it to kickstart me back onto a healthy approach to life (have been wallowing lately and letting it get me down further)
will try to keep in touch, but, isolating myself is prob the strongest, most consistant feature of unhealthy states of mind... will try tho.

don't know about the residential stuff. you can find a psychologist via babcp website (think it's www.babcp.org.uk)to do the CBT or whatever other talking therapy is most appropriate for you. would have to be some sort of doc to prescribe any ads I would have thought.
