Hi I am new here. I am looking for help. I have been trying for a baby with my husband for over two years. Been referred to fertility clinic. I should start my hormone treatment this month, but I found out that I am pregnant. Miracle!!! I should be happy and relaxed the miracle has happend. But I can't. I am worrying all the time if I am really pregnant or not. Afraid of miscarriage... fainting etc.
I don't want to loose this child but I can't cope with myself, my health anxiety came back!! I was fine for two years without any panic attacks and now struggling again... how to overcome it ?
Thank you for any help Smile

I'm sending you huge amounts of sympathy - I'm a fellow HA sufferer and found my pregnancies hard going. I'd really recommend talking to your gp about it - I accessed talking therapies a lot in my last two pregnancies -you get a certain amount of priority because you are pregnant. Also, if it getstill worse it's possible to go on meds whilst pregnant, especially after 12 weeks. I took fluorine from about 15 weeks in my last pregnancy and whilst it didn't fox the anxiety, it took the edge off. Are there things that helped wit your ha in the past? Mindfulness is useful, as is any distraction you can come up with - I learnt how to knit in one pregnancy and crochet in the next - had the added benefit that it meant I could make baby clothes. There's also a good book called overcoming health anxiety that might be worth a read.
