I have MH problems. Am signed off on ESA. Mainly depression and a hugh dose of anxiety.

Kids have had threadworms a few times but right now I just lie awake all night thinking I can feel them around my bottom and vagina. I just keep trying to 'get one' one i feel it but I've not found one at all.

I read a while ago you can get them in your eyes and nasal passage and now I'm convinced I'm infested there too.

My sinus' are sore and my keep feeling twitchy and I don't know if its worms of just the beginning of a cold?

I feel like I'm losing my mind right now :(

I don't know if I'm imaging it or not

I think you're right, that this is your anxiety, particularly about the eyes and nose, however there are lots of practical things you can do to help calm down.

You're options are to either use something like mindfulness or distraction to get yourself away from the thoughts; to do the recommended things to get rid of threadworms or a mixture of both. With you being so worried, both will probably help.

First off, get to a pharmacy today and get some threadworm treatment for you and the rest of the family. That will help as if you know you've been treated, you can be sure that the worries that you're having are to do with anxiety not an actual dose of worms. You might also want to wash your bed covers and towels as that will kill off any eggs, if there are actually any there. Clean sheets, towels and tablets is the first part.

The rest of the time is working on how you can distract yourself from these thoughts - easier said than done. Take a walk, make a brew, colour a picture, tidy something, anything you can think of ro help distract yourself.

I remember many many years ago watching a facinating program about human parasites. It obviously included things like fleas and lice etc...

Within ten minutes my scalp and skin were itching and I was scratching like mad.... I knew I was being silly. Fleas can't teleport through a tv screen... but that didn't stop the itching..Blush

I've spent the morning checking my poo and trying to flush my sinus' in case there is anything there.

I will go get some Ovex.

I'm reluctant to go to my GP because ... well I sound batshit crazy don't I?

I was up at 4am with a mirror so I could show myself that when I felt a wiggle 'down there' there was nothing.
