Simple Pleasures Thread

I'm going to use this thread to list the things I've enjoyed during my day, however small they may be. I'm at a good point thankfully due to medication but want to keep upbeat and positive about things. Today I enjoyed:
My morning cup of coffee cos I love coffee.
A bowl of pesto pasta.
A juicy nectarine because it was perfectly ripe.
Watching my daughter eat because she chews so beautifully and delicately.
Taking my daughter to toddler group because on the way she pointed out everything that she knew and she's just started speaking.
My bottle of chardonnay Grin

If anybody else has anything to add that would be great to read. I realise that some people will be feeling really low Flowers but it's important to identify little things that give us pleasure Smile

Took our six month old to one of those paint your own pottery places and he was brilliant. Lots of foot and hand prints.
When I washed up I counted the dishes plates bowls before hand so I could get them in size order in the drying rack. (I always have to do this.) It all fit in perfectly.

Hi, this thread is so helpful, thank you. I've been through a good spell for about 3 mths, it's been great, but having a low spell rn. Trying to stay positive. Today I've had a long lie, my cold is almost gone, kids are out for a while so it's quiet. Best wishes all.

Bellend I used to be a lifeguard so was a pretty normal swim for me - didn't mean to sound like I was showing off.

Simple pleasures today:
First cup of tea (again!)
Having a long cuddle with my dog on the sofa

The colder temperatures, I even had to put a jumper on! Smile
Eating tinned macaroni cheese on toast for lunch because I love it.
Took my son to the arcade and amusements Park, it was great to see him enjoying himself so much.
Eating candyfloss!
An ice cold bottle of crushed red berries and lime cider.

I hope everyone is having a good day Smile

This is a good idea, I've had a really low day today and I think this would help me see the better side of things instead of focusing on the bad. I'm going to start tomorrow.
Thankyou xx

Such a good idea, I'm currently trying to come off medication for depression and anxiety so would love to join in.
Walking my dog over the fields in the rain.
Coming home and making sausage and mash, followed by bread and butter pudding.
Lighting the candles, snuggling on the sofa with a spaniel and watching some TV that I'd recorded.

Fantastic thread! I really made a conscious effort a while ago to enjoy as much as I could, look for funny stuff in every situation and keep positive. If ppl are energy suckers just keep batting back negative thoughts with a suggestion of something happy I could recognise in them and pay them a simple complement it goes a long way. My day always a good one when I have shared a smile with someone, even better if its with someone who didn't feel smiley Smile. We all influence one another and things around us all opportunity for enjoyment. Great when you have little ones and can point out, the marshmallow clouds, Mr moon, flowers, nature, insects all exciting and new to them. We all need a child's eyes to remind us of the beauty and simplicity all around us.

Hard to think of the positives as had such a busy but long day! Only have a couple:
Waking up this morning and realising I'd slept straight through the night!
Panacotta for pud - yum.

This is a great idea for a thread. I've been feeling really low and tired/run down today so it's good to make a point of thinking of the good things-
My lunch in peace!
Cuddles and stories on the sofa with my 18month old. I love how he loves books.

Nice to see people with toddlers I have 19month dd she is in awe of so much of the world its great, but makes me feel ashamed I'm so depressed. Good things today:
Got 2 loads washing dry on line so it smelt nice and breezy and made me go outside as well
Had log burner lit - lovely autumn cosiness and nice to watch flames
Looking at knitting patterns and getting excited!
Made shortbread with dd she loved making it, unfortunately I forgot it in the oven and it burnt - on the upside this stopped me eating it all so win win Smile
