Evening.
I'm a nurse (had my NMC pin for three years) and I think I may be in the first stage of "burn out" but I'm not really sure.
For the last two weeks I've had a five day migraine, been sick nearly every day morning and night, waking in the night not seeping well, feeling exhausted, my paperwork has been shoddy at best when usually I'm known for my exceptional attention to detail, felt tearful and lost confidence in my role. I'm a palliative care nurse if that adds anything to my argument, was a DN before that. I LOVE my job, but we're going through a lot of changes at the moment, and I have Aspergers tendencies which mean generally I HATE change of environment and staffing etc.
I phoned dr on Friday (very unusual for me!) and he told to be off work for a week.
So here I am off work for a week, my DP knows and a few close friends but no one else. Feel a bit like a fraud. Cus I don't feel ill. Just a bit... Odd.
Don't even really know why I'm posting, think I just need to write it down...
