Hi I'm a newbie! I've been on citalopram for about 2 years nearly and I've put on 10 pounds and my sex life with my poor new husband of the same amount years is non existent. (Luckily we have been together 12 years so he knows it's the tablets!) 😥 I have been on the internet for alternatives and come up with Wellbutrin.. but it looks like this is not prescribed in the uk ... does anyone know anything about this?

I only know that I came to the same conclusions as you Lisa! I was on Citalopram for years and put on 20b. I wanted to try Wellbutrin but it's not available in UK, except as an anti-smoking drug. In the end, I switched to Prozac which isn't much use tbh. I loved the cosy happiness Citalopram gave, but I was just dying under the fog of sleepiness and inability to do anything. Not found a solution yet but actively looking.

Hi I've heard through an artical in the telegraph by Sarah Thompson that you can get prescribed by drs in clinics I'm not sure how true this is? Or how expensive it would be? Or why we should have to do it when people know it works!! Confused
