Well obviously yes, it can, but the specific situation is that my DD age 17 is being treated with anti-psychotics for some psychotic episodes and anti depressants for the depression.

She has totally knocked alchohol on the head because it was setting off awful depressive episodes and the psychosis is a lot better now as well.

However, every time she goes out and has a fun time, even though she is tee total, she seems to have a horrible depressive episode about 12 hours later, and the episode lasts a day, or less. at first I assumed she was doing things she shouldn 't when she went out, but she swears not, and is even worrying about the summer holidays when she has plans to go out, have fun etc. ,go on holiday with friends, but now she's saying "mum I'm scared about going on holiday because I don't want to feel like this afterwards."

Is there any way of getting herself to prepare herself for the depression that comes after socialising and thereby prevent it?
I know it looks like she's drinking or taking drugs when she goes out and that's what triggers the depression but honestly I'm pretty sure she's not!

Many people think the cause it just a drop in hormones after the excitement of a scene, so it is the same base cause
