Yes...

I hate it when the clocks go back. The dark afternoons really hurt. I used to work in an office which really upset me...

My OH is sure I've got it. He says I'm like a different person in the summer. I have no motivation to do stuff at the minute.

I've always felt a bit 'blue' in the winter, but the last couple of years it's been really nasty. I get extremely anxious, and this year I've had awful health anxiety. I went to the GP a couple of weeks ago - which was exactly when it started to lift. I feel absolutely fine now!

But I'm seeing the GP again this week for blood test results and will discuss how to avoid falling into this horrendous pit of doom next November...

I haven't lifted yet. But OH is sure it's SAD he says when the weather's warmer for a while day after day and sunny day after day too i'll feel better. He says he knows me. I can feel myself feeling unconfident around people and shy and I wasn't like that before. I don't want to be this shy unconfident person around other people now I've got a child. . Did you take antidepressants for it? My OH thinks I've always had it (he has said it for the last winters but I've always said he's being stupid) but he says this year I'm worse cos I've got responsibilities with a little girl whereas before I could just do nothing and not worry about anyone else really.

Hi, I have had SAD for years. I ended up getting sertraline last October for depression (lots of crap stuff happening) & not for SAD. The sertraline cured my SAD completely it was amazing, the first Xmas where I wasn't wiped out & I really enjoyed Xmas & all the preparations for first time in years & years.
