Anti Anxiety meds in third trimester?

I was wondering if anyone had experience with anti-anxiety/anti-depression in pregnancy? I'm 28 weeks and my anxiety levels have been sky high for months. My GP didn't want to put me on meds but I'very tried counselling and it isn't working, tried referral to CMHT who promised a lot of help but taking time to be allocated, it's so severely affecting my eating, work and relationships (mum & DH both angry with me) that I feel I need to consider medication. It's tricky tho as my gp was so against it I'm scared to push, I don't understand the risks and I'm not confident he does either. I have never felt this bad for this long in my life tho and as hard as I try I keep feeling like I get knocked back.

Huffington post article

I read your post and thought of this article. The author reckons it's ok to take meds whilst pregnant

Hi worry I've read and replied to your posts in the past, as someone who has been in exactly the same position. Sorry to hear you're still suffering. If your GP isn't happy to prescribe medication he needs to refer you to someone with more expertise - because there are medications you can take. Have you asked to see a psychiatrist?
It is hard for family to understand how you feel, but getting angry with you isn't helpful. Have you had a read of the information on some of the websites like OCDUK - they have information for family members which might be helpful.
OCD is apparently known to get worse in pregnancy because of the hormone changes so focus on getting through the last trimester and things are likely to get better once baby arrives.
