Citalopram and breastfeeding

Hi,

I've just been prescribed citalopram and completely forgot to mention I am still feeding my 18 month old at night. He doesn't feed much. Just to sleep and then perhaps during the night if he wakes.

Has anyone else taken citalopram whist breastfeeding or should i speak to the pharmacy?

Def check with the pharmacist/your GP. I went on citalopram for PND and they did double check whether I was bf or not (I wasn't). This doesn't def mean there's a problem obviously, but does indicate it's prob worth checking.

Hope you feel better soon.
