Cant Seem To Shake It Today

Not sure what to say. Was feeling great for a month or two there but its gone all bad again. Was taking ad's again for a bit there but thought I could snap out of it without them. I am not depressed as such but just not right. Cant seem to sit down and relax. Even have laptop in kitchen so I can jump back and forth between whatever else it is I am doing. I still dont seem to get anywhere with anything though.

Ds just does away in livingoom, dont spend enough time with him as I cant seem to just sit still for anyu amount of time. Cant watch tv either. Weird. Not much point in going to docs as they look at my file and say "Oh I see you have been taking prozac so they obviously help you as all the the other doctors have given you them too, so here have some more".

Maybe if they gave me a different medication I wouldnt have been depressed best part of 13 years.

NotSoMellowma, I've tried prozac, and I don't think it worked. Why not go back to GP or speak to HV if they're any good and try something else. I eventually found an AD that did work very well for me. So sorry you feel like this

Yeah I will make an appointment for next week sometime. Was on a few different types before having lo and because I said I was anxious they gave me ones which made me look like a zombie. Our doctors give everyone the same. Small village. Stupid doctors.

older style tro-cyclics can make you feel a bit zombie fied, if you were on those.
ssris..such as prozac, citalopram etc can make you feel jumpy and panicky, but its a case of finding one to suit you, there are lots out there.
i personally had a bad experience with cipralex.and its not unusual fdor that one to make you feel very panicky.
a friend of mine was on lustral and found it very tolerable, although its different for everyone, but dont be afraid to go back and its insist on a different treatment.

notso, could you try some relaxation techniques, see if they help, how are you sleeping

Do you mean breathing tequniques etc? I have thought about buying a self-help book but not sure what to go for. Sleeping is okay once I get to sleep but takes a while for brian to shut down. Dont drink caffiene as is does make it worse. I find I also have horrid dreams when on prozac. Very vivid

i had a bad experience on cipralex,i was paranoid and delusional.i am on prozac now and it is working but ive only ever found it useful when i was very low and dont want to do anything or talk to anyone IYKWIM.i have had that kind of depression also when u cant sit still or concentrate but i felt like i was talking to a brick wall asking the docs for help cos no ad's worked for me when i was like that.
relaxation techniques are probably the best thing but i know its hard to switch off in that situation

notso, yes i meant breathing techniques, i just wondered as obviously if you are not sleeping brilliantly, then that wont help, not good though if the prozac is giving you vivd dreams.
