Ads stopped the crisis but leave me so flat - is this it?

Been on citalopram for a year - they did the job in that I was v poorly and unable to cope a year ago (second bout of major depression)

What is left of me however doesn't seem like an ideal solution - I'm fat, flat, apathetic and drinking too much. Slightly detached from day to day life/family

Can anyone relate? X

Yes, I can relate to this. I'm on fluoxetine and am finding my emotions are very dulled x

It's not great and I'm not sure I like it!

This is an unfortunate side effect of many ad's. Speak to your doc about weaning off the meds and either replacing it with some other ad or just seeing how it goes without.

I've had a rubbish couple of days since posting - not sure what to do - think my slump in mood might be due to overdoing the wine at the weekend

Feeling very low and anxious Hmm

You really shouldn't drink with SSRIs, esp large amounts. It does seem to make the flatness of mood worse afterwards, I think. Although I don't drink (for other reasons), I too find the flatness quite disturbing - on Sertraline. It's like I'm neither up nor down really. But it does not feel 'normal' whatever that is. Ha ha! It's still better, speaking personally of course, than being seriously depressed however,
