Anxiety without panic attacks

Hi I was wondering if anyone who has been officially diagnosed with anxiety doesn't suffer with physical panic attacks? I am a fairly anxious person, always worrying about unlikely bad things happening and also have intrusive thoughts about bad things happening to loved ones where I can "see" it happening. When this happens I get a surge of adrenaline and can feel my heart rate quicken but I've never had a full on panic attack with struggling to breathe, crying etc as I have witnessed a friend who suffers with anxiety and depression go through. I have a GP appointment tomorrow for a health check for an unrelated mild blood pressure issue and was wondering whether it's worth mentioning to them or do you think my symptoms are too mild to trouble them with?

No, not too mild to mention. If left unchecked theses anxieties will only get worse. Might help to write down how often this happens to you, and if it is disturbing your sleep or impacting on your day to day life, and show to your GP.
