I have suffered for longer than I can remember.

I am AWFUL with my kids. actually I am fine when they ARE ill and I HAVE to deal with it but my problem is anticipatory anxiety.

I have been working on Rob Kelly's Thrive book and have seen Rob himself. He has JUST released an emetophobia version which I have ordered.

Worth looking into. The book on its own can help but really you need to see someone who is trained in it to help talk you through what you are learning about your thought processes from the book but really I am at the stage where I will pay anything and try anything.

This is Rob's page http://www.thriveprogramme.org/about-the-thrive-programme/

and this is the new book

I would love to be telling you I am cured from doing it but I am not - YET. I do however think it is much more likely to work than any of the numerous other things I have tried in the past (plus it is actually very interesting).

Hi only, no advice to give re: emetophobia but i do know it's been a much-discussed topic on here. Perhaps join the big emetophobia thread? I'm sure lots of lovely posters will give you advice there. Please try not to worry. X

I am pregnant with a second child just as my sick worries are subsiding slightly with DD Who is 8. I am feeling extremely anxious aboutstartinga ll over again with a baby as I have an irrational fear of vomit. It affects many areas of my life and is getting worse. I would really love to do something about it. Last year I had some CBT on the NHS but it wasn't very good. For a start we couldn't access the film we needed at the surgery because it was all blocked!
Has anyone actually been cured, or even greatly improved? I would be very interested to hear of any treatments that actually work please.
