Struggling at the moment

I am finding it all so much like hard work at the moment. All I want to do is crawl into bed and not get out. Infact, as soon as DS3 is at nursery I come home and go straight to bed. When he goes for a nap I go to bed, when DH gets in from work I go to bed.

I am also finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning. I can;t get to sleep at night, not for sleeping too much but for everything going on in my head. I can;t seem to shut down.

Im on prozac or depression, have missed a few days here and there when I realise it is too late to take it.

Hey 5inthebed sorry you're having a rough time x

is there a way you can make sure you take your prozac every day? Because my dh is only on a low dose of citalopram but I notice it if he forgets one. The stuff works best when you take it regularly.

I know you have a lot on your plate anyway, but is there anything in particular that is keeping your thoughts racing at the moment?

How long have you been on prozac? Is it right for you? Could you discuss with your doc whether you need a change in type or dose?

Well, I've just found out who my bio dad is and I'm in the middle of trying to contact him. Just waiting for him to call as he has my number, so I guess that is playing on my mind an awful lot. Have loads of different scenarios racing through my head and I just want it to come to an end. It's been like an 11 year saga going on in my life.

I've made an appointment with my GP for next Monday, the usual one I see though is off for a few weeks, so will see another. Prozac may need to be increased as I've only been on it maybe 3 months with next to nil effect.

Was going to ask about counselling as well.

That is major - and I mean proper major.

Yes do ask about counselling. I'm a big fan of counselling as a way of getting things straight in your head.

If prozac has nil effect after 3 months then maybe you do need something else.

Thank you MM, I will definitely ask to go on something different.
