Emetophobia panic--please help

I know that there are much more important things to be worrying about but I am in a bit of a panic (and need to chill). DH had "bad guts" about a week ago. 3 days later, I had a very upset tummy for 24 hours, was freezing cold and achy. 3 days later (yesterday), a friend of ours who we are staying with started vomiting. Do you think its the same bug? Why would it cause us to have upset tummy and him to v? And should I be worried about DD (2) catching it off him, or would it have been more likely for her to catch it off us? I know, I need help. Hence the mental health thread, but I know you emets will understand.

Tummy bugs affect people differently. We had one recently. DS1 had it first, vomited a few times in the night. Then my friend caught it (I didn't) and she had both ends going on. Then I caught it off her and DH came down with it at the same time as me. DH vomited once. I only had downwards movement for a few hours. We all had cold achy shivery symptoms. Then DS2 came down with it and he was vomiting. Finally, DS3 caught it, didn't vomit at all, just had bad nappies and off his food. I understand your anxiety - I am the same. Hopefully your DD will be ok.

Thanks Becky. I really hope its just the same bug as I cannot face it right now. We are flying back from the US on Wednesday. I am a ball of nerves right now just waiting for DD to do something :(
