I suspect that I have it but don't know how the hell to deal with it or change it.

You need a proper diagnosis from I psychiatrist for a start!!!!! You can't self diagnose.

If you do have it, there is no cure....... My ex has it, only 'help' for him are antidepressants, which he doesn't take

I have heard that physchotherapy is the desired treatment, of course you will get different treatments depending on the severity. Go to a therapist.

Like ILoveTiffany posted, you need to ask your gp for a referral to a psychiatrist (if you don't have one) and ask for an assessment. They can then diagnose and offer treatment - which may include ADs or other meds, or a range of talking therapies etc.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with ILoveTiffany, as in my personal experience there can be a "cure". I know somebody who had a really rough time with BPD in her teens and early 20s, but hasn't met the diagnostic criteria for BPD for nearly a decade now. Based on her experience, psychotherapy (dialectical behaviour therapy is meant to be particularly good) and appropriate medication, if there turns out to be some that works for you, are the way to go. So, definitely start with your GP and ask for a referral.
