I have read the book and it seems to make sense....
I have treated myself to a recipe book.

I do, however, want to try and make it fit in our lives so I'm not cooking different meals so need to work out the calories of the things I cook.

I have to do something! I'm 5 foot 2 and nearly 16 stone. That's sooooo NOT a good look. I look far older than I am (the grey heair doesn't help mind bu I'm stuck with that!). I get mistaken for the kid's granma and I need new clothes but I refuse to buy them in a size 20.

Good luck!
I only started last week, so done 2 fast days of 650 ish cals each. So my aim for this week is to hit 500 cals.

It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, the key is definitely planning ahead so you're doing the right thing by thinking about it now. If you don't eat anything until dinner then 500cals is a reasonable meal & probably can fit easily into family life.

come and join in the big thread - its a very welcoming place.
Food : enter your meals and ingredients onto MyFitnessPal is the best route

basically on a fast day, eat as little as you can all day and then have a low carb, low fat half portion of supper and you'll be pretty close!

It's only 2 nights a week (unless you're having 3 meals a day with all yoru family).

Jamies 15 minute meals, and the Hairy Dieters books are great sources of low caloire family-friendly ideas.
