I am going on holiday in seven weeks and am curious as to how much weight people lose in that time and also how exactly you did it.

i.e. have you eaten more than you would normally do on NFDays or less?

Have you done extra exercise?

Do you eat all your calories in one go on FDays.

Well, I lost three stone in five weeks on a juice fast for medical reasons....no reason why couldn't lose over a stone.....:)

A stone would be great, really hoping this one works, been on every diet going but since having kids haven't been able to lose more than a few pounds and I am 3 stone over weight (well 4 really).

If you want a fasting buddy, let me know, I'm three stone overweight, struggling to shift it as my baby is nowhere near going through the night and I crave carbs all the time!

I've lost going on a stone in one month. That's with 5:2, using MFP assiduously, relatively low carbing and no booze during the week, no snacks. I've eaten under my calorie allowance during the week to make up for relaxing (although generally not going totally nuts) Friday night and Saturday. I think I've lost enough so going to try maintaining.

I lost about 8lb in the first 7 weeks. I wasn't particularly careful on non fast days either. But after that I hit a plateau and couldn't lose any more. Have now switched to WW!

And I don't eat calories earned from exercise. On fast days I have been fasting for 18 hours or so, 200 cals or a bit less for lunch then 300 in the evening. I tried 400 cals on fast days (1/4 of usual daily calorie allowance) but that was too low.

I lost 2 stone in my first 7 weeks, but a lot of that is probably to do with me being in the obese category which I'm pleased to say I am no longer thanks to 5:2

I started by treating this like a diet and eating healthier on NFD. After a week I noticed my appetite waning and have settled into an eating pattern that suits me and my family.

I'm exercise limited so the most I've done is some walking which I'd do anyway and am at the end of the 30 day squat challenge.

At the start I broke my calories up, but very quickly eliminated breakfast then lunch and find it easier to eat a decent dinner in the evening. I'm sat here after eating a small stir fry (with zero noodles), raspberries and ice cream and drinking a glass of Wine, and am still below 500 cals.

There's lots of other benefits other than the weight loss too

I lost 6 lbs in the first 7!weeks, but then it did begin to slow down since then. I did 5:2 religiously and tracked it all on MFP . Did weigh daily but only counted the weight after the 2nd fast. I have not weighed every day for alot of weeks now.

I go on holiday in 8 weeks and originally my goal was to be another 10 lbs lighter by then.. but Ive now accepted that aint gonna happen for me!
But Im much happier with how I look / feel since starting this WOE and even if it takes another 19 weeks to lose another 10 lbs itll be well worth the effort.'kmmk

Well its now a week since I started fasting and I've lost 3lbs!, which is great considering I had a cooked breakfast and a roast dinner on Sunday. Definitely going to stick with it as I've noticed my appetite is slightly smaller.

I lost 6lbs in the first week! Think its because my appetite was better due to fasting days. I didn't seem to want to eat the usual snacks on non fasting days plus it gave me a boost to start swimming again! Feeling great! Good luck everyone x

I've lost about 5 lbs over about 7 weeks.
I don't find 5:2 very quick at losing weight, but then I don't exercise a lot.
Overall since last autumn I've lost a stone, doing 5:2 in a very, very haphazard way Grin (More like 13:1...)
